Last Day at the Clinic
I got to start another IV today! I also drew blood and did a pap smear. It was a full day and I loved every minute of it. At the hospital in David, I got to see babies getting vaccinated for Tuberculosis with BCG and also being vaccinated for Hepatitis B. I loved holding the sweet little angels, I just wanted to take them all home with me. Now that I'm at the end of my journey here in Panama, I'd just like to say how thankful I am to have had this experience. I got to hike a volcano, ride 4-wheelers up and down mountains in muddy and rocky terrains, and go ziplining through the jungle. God's creation is absolutely beautiful and the people he has created are just as beautiful. I've really seen the need for increased attention on the globalization of health care and I'm hoping to have the opportunity to be a part of the effort to reach populations that many others are unwilling or unable to reach. Every person deserves to have a fighting chance to live the longest and healthiest life possible and I'd like to help make that happen for people all around the world.
